ABBI MARTZ

Abbi Martz has an extensive understanding of luxury resort real estate. Having worked in the Real Estate industry in Park City and Deer Valley® since 2005, she spent the first eight years honing her listening, sales, marketing, and negotiating skills while working as a licensed assistant and sales associate alongside four of the most successful Realtors® in the country.

Today as a sales associate with Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, she consistently ranks among the top associates in Deer Valley® and Park City. Her genuine warmth, insight, integrity, comprehensive knowledge and professionalism are well known and respected by clients and colleagues alike.

Throughout her career, Abbi has represented a wide variety of developments and property types, including being on the listing teams for multiple high-end condo hotels, homesite developments, gated communities and luxury estates located on the ski slopes of Deer Valley Resort®. Her deep market knowledge in combination with a keen eye for what sells and an understanding for current buyer wants and needs enables her to successfully meet lifestyle and investment goals for her clientele. Of note was her four-year collaboration as a sales member representing the developer at Montage Residences Deer Valley, where she was a major contributor in selling out the building. She represented the highest priced condominium sale in a calendar year and maintains strong market share in a handful of communities in which she focuses. Abbi has earned Professional Achievement Awards from the Park City Board of Realtors® the last five consecutive years.

Abbi cares deeply about helping her clients make sound decisions. Her work style can be described as attentive and detail-oriented, savvy, energetic and friendly, forward-thinking, dependable, resourceful, and highly capable. No task is too big or too small—from making connections within the community for newcomers, instructions on where to find fun hiking or ski trails, reimagining spaces within a property, or strategizing with Sellers to prepare a property for market launch. Abbi’s commitment to adding value goes as far as having her own collection of staging items to ensure each property she represents is positioned appropriately with current design and market trends.

Born and raised in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Abbi comes from a family with a skiing legacy. Her formative years were spent on the ski slopes and exploring in the wilderness at her family’s rustic lake cabin in Maine. She attended high school in Vermont to focus on ski racing, and competed extensively throughout Europe, Canada, New Zealand, and the U.S. Abbi graduated from Colby College in Waterville, Maine with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business and History and was a six-time NCAA All-American skier. Her senior year, Abbi was the NCAA Division I National Alpine Skiing Champion.

When not at the office, you will find Abbi skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping in her Escapod off-road trailer, and generally enjoying the outdoors with family and friends. Her husband John was born and raised in Park City and he shows Abbi and their two children all the best spots and trails. Abbi also enjoys the rich history of Park City and helping shape the future of her community, fostering the preservation of open spaces, an active and healthy lifestyle, and staying true to the many reasons that drew us all to Park City in the first place.

BILL LIGETY

A seasoned real estate professional, Bill applies his broad market knowledge to help his clients make sound investment decisions. A long-time resident and owner of properties in both Deer Valley and Park City, Bill has invaluable insights on their various neighborhoods and cultures. His work with developers in the planning and marketing of highly successful projects, including Alta Vista, Belle Arbor, Bellemont, Belleterre, Bellevue, and The Colony at White Pine Canyon, has afforded Bill the opportunity to be involved in the sale of some of the most prestigious properties in the area.

A Connecticut transplant, Bill received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Utah. As Park City Planning Director for nearly seven years, Bill was credited with helping Park City maintain a high quality of private and public development. Bill has directed projects that won awards from the American Institute of Architects, American Planning Association, and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. He also coordinated the early development of the Deer Valley Resort, major expansion of the Park City Ski Area base, and initiation of design guidelines for the historic district. The expertise he has gained from these experiences, along with the friends and contacts he’s made over the years, enables him to give his buyers and sellers, alike, an upper hand with their real estate objectives.

The success Bill has achieved for his clients is evidenced by the recognition he has received in the field, including the Rookie of the Year Award from the Park City Board of Realtors, and Realtor of the Year by his peers. Bill has consistently ranked as a top producing agent and was recognized for four years among the top twenty associates in Prudential’s 60,000 agent international network, as well as seven years as Prudential Utah Real Estate’s top producing associate. Bill then earned lifetime membership in the Park City and Salt Lake City Million Dollar Clubs, and has been awarded the GRI and CRS designations. He is also one of the few Realtors nationwide to have earned full membership in the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Much of Bill’s success can be attributed to the relationships he’s forged with not only his clients, but also his network of peers and organizations that are instrumental in the real estate transaction process. Bill’s friendly, competitive nature, and his enthusiasm for collaborating with a new generation of associates who are tech-savvy, ambitious, and possess good business sense has enabled him to not only be a mentor, but also to sharpen his own skills. He’s grateful to be a resource for his constituents, and he’s also appreciative of the confidence his clients show in his abilities when sending their friends and family to him for real estate help.

Aside from his work with clients, Bill enjoys putting time and attention to his community. He serves on the Executive Council of the Utah Symphony and Opera’s Deer Valley Music Festival. As a past trustee of the Park City Winter Sports School, a fully-accredited private high school for elite athletes, Bill has developed a keen interest in philanthropy. Bill has been active in the Sister City Exchange with the French ski resort of Courchevel. Additionally, he has served on the boards of the Utah Heritage Foundation, Park City Historical Society, Park City Ski Education Foundation, and local homeowners’ associations. Bill served as a ‘gate judge’ for the Olympic Slalom at Deer Valley in 2002 and has attended every Winter Olympics since then.

Bill and his wife, Cyndi Sharp, enjoy powder skiing, cycling, and hiking on the local trails. Their two sons grew up in Park City experiencing all of the town’s great family programs. Both are enthusiastic skiers and return to Park City with their families as often as they can. Bill is grateful for all the opportunities Park City has given to his family and is eager to share his love of the community.
